A visual essay, which should consist of 8 -12 images you have collated, and 500-700 words of your own text. This unit is assessed holistically (100% of the unit).
In the first term you will be largely focused on collecting interesting visual images that you feel you can use in the visual essay. For the visual essay you are encouraged to use the key readings introduced to you in your classes in order to create a commentary on the images you have chosen. The visual images you choose can be from any art/design discipline as long as they are relevant either to the concept of stereotypes or the concept of subcultures.
